Urgent update: Looking for a volunteer for Pirin mountain and a Nature School in Bulgaria (10-29 June)

Update: Due to last-minute cancellation we are looking for 1 volunteer from any Erasmus+ program country (EU, Macedonia, Turkey, Norway, Liechtenstein, Iceland) to join the short-term group EVS in Vlahi Nature School starting on Sunday, June 10th. The first short-term group volunteering opportunities in the summer 2018 within the Mountain spirit project will happen in June in Pirin mountain, Bulgaria. Vlahi Nature school is looking for Croatian volunteers between 18 and 30, to support the organization’s activities and to contribute to nature conservation efforts of actvists, NGOs and local people together with a group of 10 volunteers. The dates are June 10th to 29th, the place – the village of Vlahi at the foot of Pirin National Park – the only mountain designated as UNESCO World Heritage Site in Bulgaria.


The volunteers will support the Nature School to overcome the losses from a villge fire that happened last year by rebuilding the winter garden and parts of the fence. Moreover, they will participate in monitoring activities related to water conflicts in Pirin mountain.
